In what could be the birth of the California olive oil industry, visionary growers are planting one of the most suitable drought tolerant crops in a new way – hedgerows. We’ve all seen pictures of grape vineyards, the neat rows following the contours of the land, well imagine they’re olive hedgerows instead. A little bigger and denser, but very similar.
